WHAT TO EXPECT

The healing process takes up to 14 days. Your Ombré Brows will first be dark, then they will heal 20-40% lighter. The eyebrows will darken more on day 2 due to ink oxidation. Starting on days 4-7, they will scab, crack, and peel off on their own revealing the softer color underneath.

Once completely healed, your eyebrows may look very light as if no pigment retained, but the color will slightly darken within 2 weeks (up to 30 days after the first appointment). Light and patchy results are normal and expected because this procedure a 2-step process that requires a touch-up session to perfect them. The first touch-up is recommended at 6-8 weeks post initial session.

Please understand that your eyebrows are a healing wound and require strict, diligent aftercare to prevent infection and ensure the best healed results possible.

Aftercare instructions

DAY 1 (Day of Procedure):

  • Blood and lymph may come out from your eyebrows after the procedure. Gently blot it away with a clean paper towel as much as possible until it has stopped.

DAY 2:

  • Gently pat brows with a clean, damp paper towel 3 times throughout the day.  Use gentle patting motions only. Do NOT rub or drag the paper towel across the brows.

DAY 3-14:

  • Apply a small rice-grain size of Aquaphor twice a day (morning/night) with a clean Q-Tip until there are no more scabs. Do not overapply to prevent excessive fading and a delayed healing time.

AVOID FOR THE FIRST 7 DAYS:

  • Do not get the eyebrows wet. Water and moisture cause excessive fading.

  • Wear the protectant visor given to you on your forehead when showering. Apply it on clean, dry skin.

  • Do not sweat or exercise. This increases the risk of infection and causes fading.

AVOID UNTIL HEALED:

  • Do not touch or pick the scabs. Picking the scabs off causes color loss and scarring.

  • Avoid sleeping on your side or any position where you are lying on your brows.

  • Wear a hat outdoors (including overcast weather) to protect them. Avoid tanning and sun exposure on your brows. Sun exposure fades the pigment excessively.

  • Don’t put makeup on or near the brows to prevent infection.

  • Avoid contact with animals, pools, gardening, beaches, and other large bodies of water to prevent infection.

  • Avoid smoking any nicotine products.

  • Avoid chemical exfoliants, retinol, or brightening products on the upper half of your face.
